A complex challenge
Jim’s finance and charity expertise was initially sought out to provide support to the bemix finance team.
Jim has worked closely with the CEO, leadership and finance team to navigate lots of change and challenges in a short period of time.
Transformational support
Individually each of these are significant but for now here’s some bullet points of the areas we have supported with over the last 18 months:
- Conversion of accounting system to from Quickbooks to Xero, Hubdoc & Syft Analytics
- Presenting finance updates and Board and Governing Team meetings
- Navigating transition from CIC (Community Interest Company) to CIO (Charity)
- Hiring and supporting new finance team
- Preparation of management accounts and cash flow forecasts to support renegotiated borrowing terms
- Supporting audit tender process
- Supporting exec team with successful tender for new project (see more here)
- Advising on charity tax and reporting requirements
- Drafted new Standing Financial Instructions documentation for finance team
