I'm into a few sports. Football's the obvious one having followed Arsenal from the age of 6 (I don't get to go as much as I'd like!). Also love my F1 and my American Football (go Niners!)
Food & Drink
Anything Italian and I'm happy when it comes to food. Good coffee in the week keeps me going and then a cheeky pale ale or a glass of 🍷 at the weekend to relax.

Hey, I’m Jim.
I’ve always loved numbers and after studying Actuarial Science at the University of Kent I trained as a Chartered Accountant in Canterbury.
When I’d finished all my exams someone said to me ‘Great, now you can learn how to be an accountant’ and what they really meant was you can learn all the other skills necessary to build a business and help others do the same.
I loved using technology to support people to do that, and that passion for seeing the impact that tech could bring led me to a consultancy role at Xero where I helped and inspired accounting firms all over the UK to embrace a digital mindset and better ways of working.
In 2023 Steve and I sensed an opportunity to combine two crucial areas that people running small businesses usually need support with and Shapes was born.
Outside of Shapes, I have a family with 3 kids, support a bunch of non-profit organisations, am learning Italian and following all those sports team I love.
